Exhaustion, Depression, Ego, and Mountains.

A mixture which can only result in a rocky life.

So I've been lucky in life. Really lucky in life. Born into a lovely, supportive family, high achiever, world class education, a stunning relationship, and un-countable moments involving: friends, helicopters, number 6 walnuts, and several near misses with rocks, axes, cars, bears, and the ever present alcohol.

Its frankly amazing Im still here!

But still, for the past 6 years I've been having a rough time. I break down in meetings, can’t find the energy for the mountains, don’t sleep and honestly believe that the world is out to get me.

Now I've been working on “fixing” this for 18 months, though therapy, hard conversations and growing up. I’m taking some advice, making some changes, taking some risks and writing about pain.

So three things start this week.

One: This blog.

Two: Committing to a 6 month career break.

Three: A return to the Mountains. They are calling

I plan to write about a few things in this blog.

My fight with mental health, past, present and future.

Mountains and adventures.

Lets see if I can keep it up!
